Just another quick sketch, with the Rave in the forest Idea. I've been and i'm still ill, nothing new, Just it pisses me off, all the time, it effects everything including hooking up and doing things with my crew-mates.. Anyway got to remember there are people worse off out there so got to be positive...
I've not done much drawing or painting because I've been feeling shite, But I've done this quickly today....I'm just drawing these from memory so the body's etc will be wrong, buts thats not important with this idea, They will be pretty abstract to capture the atmosphere of the Raves...
I'm thinking of doing some in the forests and some in old places from back in the day like Subways, Venue, Subways, Hippo club ( thats was a bit later 1994 onwards?) Anyways just drawing quick things just to try and get more movement etc..
 

I cant post this with out the Video from Human Traffic, When they flashback to Tom toms. It rocked there, but there was'nt all that "rave crap" going on, eg boiler suits white gloves masks etc, There was a lot of Vics and smash poppers on the stage behind the dance floor mind you..

Another quick sketch, Pretty bad TBH, But these are from memory not from drawing from photos etc..
I really need to brush up on the anatomy of humans.. 
Anyway's this is based on the raves that where held in the forests up by Taffs well, North of the city.. They where great esp if it was raining, the strobes ( speakers etc) that where placed in the trees would flash on and off, with each flash of light you'd see the rain drops sparkle like diamonds in the air around you, Prob helped by the certain blotters that where around back then..
Anyway Just drawing to build up something to lay in paint, that will be more abstract than realistic..
Just ideas for composition's..

 Thought I'd do a quick corze outline, a little more basic this one..just don't think the flying arrows look any good, As they say you always learn from your mistakes.So I don't mind putting drawings or anything in here that's not good...

This just a study from an image I seen on old skool writers in 1970s NYC, Maybe it might be useful to work on it more then maybe paint a painting loosely based on this or other ideas..

 Just a couple of studys, for a Rave painting I might do, kinda based in the old raves in subways and other places back in the late 80s and early 90's..

The paintings would be more abstract than representably, due to the, movement in a rave, the fog, the colours under UV lights, strobes, lasers etc, and the fact of the visuals from purple oms and strawberry blotters that where popular at the time..Anyway just ideas, and rough studys ATM..

We all owe these guys so much, With out them there would be no art forms we have now, that's inspired from graffiti, from graffiti influenced corporate marketing to "urban-street art fetching high prices in the art world making certain people rich..We should never forget the foundations these guys built for us..big props to them all!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward too this book, And looking forward to the Blu-ray Style wars flick, 2012 promises to be a good year, More importantly these guys should be getting some rep's and some dues paid, about time too!!!!!!!!!

Really rusty at drawing human figures, Not done no life drawing in over 10 years, in fact at uni it wasn't tought at all, Your work was meant to be based on conceptual ideas etc... Anyway me and Rmer are going to start some life drawing classes very soon. Should be fun, and good for drawing confidence, I always believed that life drawing is the key to unlocking ways to see and do other visual art forms..Hopefully It will help..

 Just a Drawing of Hoxe, a bit wrong, but its basically an idea for a canvas, or canvases of crew mates.. I'll hopefully get around do doing some paintings based on my crew members..

New outline, New year..

Crush outline,, new year post...

Thought I’d do an outline for Hoxe, I like the letters in crush so thought I'd try something…ideally this would be abstracted with emulsion backgrounds and fills, then painted back in with spray paint, on top, then some emulsion glazes and effects on top of that, then slapping a 3rd outline on top of that, but sparingly,  just in places so you see the form of the letters in places…. if ever painted..
Or maybe just a monochrome piece?…Anyway just ideas for now..
