Still on a Futura tip, but an Old skool one with this post, this was prob the very first piece on British soil, under the Westway at Ladbroke grove east London done by Futura in 1981, He did this while on tour with the Clash, who all lived in West London, in the Laylow/ grove area.
Rumours where had that he also did a tube train at Rickmansworth, yard. there's was also a faded tag that looked like a futura hit under a bridge to the 5 yard, according to the brilliant site www.rockingthecity.com/
I just want to say this picture popped in my email some years back From Old skool London BBoy/writer Skam, of the mad ethnics crew. It was his picture....
I'd love to know the full story of this piece, but I guess it was something else, esp if you never seen such graffit before, I'm sure helped a lot of heads, who seen this get up,esp before Subway Art was brought out in 84.
