One of the great things about graffiti and the web, is being able to exchange sketches, I Been meaning to post up some outlines from exchanges and pieces by writers that used an one of my outlines of there name to paint up, its really a buzz to see what they done, pure humbling, anyway receiving outlines from top old skool writers to new heads really makes my week. I hope 2013 will be busy in exchanges, requests etc..
Was pure and still is happy to get this by merc ACR from London, man was dropping panels etc, on the London Underground back in 86-87. still going on strong to this day..

Not posted for a while, But have to post these..
I will post a load of work very soon, As soon as I scan in my prep, sketches for ideas, and paintings..
I've ordered a pen to enable me to draw straight to my pc, nothing fancy or full of bells an whistles, just a cheap one to see if i like drawing with a pen straight to pc.
for working rough sketches and ideas and work compositions..
I'll invest in a better one when I'm able to afford a new computer or laptop next year some time.
Like many people, Xmas busted my savings, so new yea, new start.
Which brings me to my change from painting with Acrylic, I do like acrylic it as its place, just found it a pain with drying to quick, Esp when mixing colours with a palette knife, going back and finding the paint dried up or to tacky, also the colour shift, and layers of paint to get a decent colour, and i found some colours seemed to dry to disappointing washed out colours,
dont get me wrong acrylic has benefits, but i found painting with them frustrating at times, in fact I'd use lots of paint, but it still never has that punch oils can give you.
I'm not talking cheap acrylic too.
I've not used oils properly since art school, then it wasn't a alot as i was printmaking mainly.
So i've a lot to learn, but I'm happy with a painting i've just begun, working "alla prima" or wet on wet, instead of glazing, with another dedication to kase 2, Its how he overcome his disability's and rocked some of the best burners that inspire, also his personality he had, and a true style master general.
(I found an interview online I must add it here too)
With the painting I'm just going on as a go with it, mostly from imagination, including kase's likeness.
Its part of the subway series i'm painting.

Anyway I've spoke to much for now, Just want to add some work by Rmer and Hoxe. Starting with this Trackside T.shirt that are for sale on R'mers site.
He's done some dope canvases too, I'll add them very soon, as there too good IMO..

PS hope anybody reading a had a great Christmas & I wish you a dpe Year ahead. I know my diary is full work wise, with my ideas etc. I must take Kase 2's example and try to paint at least a silver..

Just a quick sketch, Idea for a painting maybe? I'll post some more sketches soon, Ive had to get a new scanner printer. Which is/was prob a blessing in disguise, having to draw or paint from memory on my paintings and work, or look at a pc screen, rather than drawing straight from photocopy's/prints I've found inspiring..Speaking on which.Check this link from Henry Chalfant..

Must add this link of a seminar/talk by Henry Chalfant. Without the writers and him and Martha Cooper, I don't know what I would've become, Like wise everyone else inspired by Subway Art, and Style Wars....Whom inspire me/my work and my peers still to this day..

Posting some old skool flicks, Cru, 1986, (Trowbridge estate) by Fina 64, ( Leroy) Blue 202, Seco, Myself, back in 86, still remember this day well, first we met up at Robbo's,.. ( not King Robbo of London, but (blue 202).. House, Leroy and Robbo where older than me, Anyway The TV was on in his house, suddenly the next thing i know there was hardcore porn on the TV!..They where doing a particle joke on me, Saying it was Channel 4's afternoon slot, lol, them days channel 4 was a new channel infamous for the sex and violence who was blighted by Mary Whitehouse consented moans, letters etc towards all channels, esp channel 4, as they used to show more edgy  programs. Harmless stuff really compared to TV these days,

She was a silly old busy body,& religious bigot that was famous for her views on British TV..she'd be turning in her grave with the TV now, lol..
Anyway ofcause the porn was from a VCR, but they had me going for a sec, though, I was young and Naive. Anyway the was done in carplan paint, nasty shit compared to today, full of lead and chemicals, smell was overpowering too, the caps esp when they changed them to a male valve system, was terrible. though we did'nt no any different them days.
the style of these letters very minimal was so fresh back then, Leroy did the outline on some clothing too, was really ground breaking, style wise back then imo ofcause....

 CDT, (Community drug team) 1990's this was all dupi-colour, Mao, myself.

 Pissed up CSC 1990s, done one night after they made this box illegal to paint on, (Criminal Saints Crew) Myself and Mao,- St.Mellons estate.

 Maoh-Eaze, 1988, This was done at night..

Ghost fina blockbuster, 1985, with small stencils on top my Mao, we where using stencils back in the 80's, as where many writers across the uk.
It wasn't new to Graff, like some think..
I had to draw a blue line on top with photoshop, just think i should of left it now, it was a very early silver, in fact one of the first in Cardiff to my knowledge, though splott had writers/crews, and Ron was writing too, up Pontyridd/Valleys,...
To my knowledge, St.Mellons had the first Graff in the City, going back to 84, it had a healthy B.boy, DJ scene too.
DJ.Jaffa was a BBoy first then DJ. A lot of the old skool hip hop heads in the city whom are active or retired where from St.Mellons or used to hang around St.Mellons and Trowbridge Estate's back in the day!
I don't mean to come across arrogant though saying this but it was a healthy scene at this part of the city with many heads from and involved in the hip hop movement that time from here....
